Back In The Saddle Again
Easter break is over and it is now time to stop celebrating that Jesus Christ, Son of God, has died for us, granting us eternal salvation, to focus on much more important matters such as finals.
It's tough to find anything positive about the next few weeks. If you are like me, you might have spent the most of your Monday getting work done for Tuesday or preparing for what is ahead.
Today I found myself writing sentences ALL DAY such as, "While 'La Belle Dame Sans Merci' is a dramatic story that expands beyond the realm of reality, the message of the work parallels Keats' life." Being able to write that sentence in no way prepares me for the real world or makes me better educated. Don't be fooled, just about everything we cram inside our heads over the next few weeks will do nothing for us. The real key is to stay sane and to not get addicted to pills and begin singing "I'm so excited" like Jessica Spano on Saved By The Bell. And, if you're like me and don't see too many A's in your future, the "I GOT MY CREDITS!" line is always safe.
I have a Spanish Oral test at 4pm today, which should be very interesting. I'll have details on just how horrible of an experience it turned out to be later in the day.
