I made it to South Bend. However, due to the fact that I am a suspicious looking Catholic boy, security checked me out, in a nonsexual way. My bags were inspected, shoes had to be removed, and I was frisked.

But rest easy, security found no concealed weapons or bags of bacon.

Tonight, I'll be going on an airplane alone for the first time in my life. I'm going back to South Bend, IN, as detailed in this weeks column. Therefore, the next time I post I'll be in another state. However, if, in the likely event I get confused at the airport, that state may very well not be Indiana.
