Recently The Duquesne Duke sent me on assignment to cover Singles in the City, an upscale singles event in Pittsburgh. I had high expectations for the night because the expensive ticket price meant attendees would consist of older women with money. The odds of talking to a mature, vulnerable female on the rebound from a horrible divorce, hoping to regress back to her sorority days for one night and possibly pay for me to get liquored up, seemed quite good. As a college senior with all his teeth and no facial tattoos, I was confident.
